The person taking your information will relay it to a claims adjustor. The claims adjustor will call you in 24-48 hours to further explain the claims process and answer your concerns about the claim. Report claims as soon as you or your staff is aware of an injury. The reporting of a claim does not admit liability.

How can I reduce my claim costs?

• Direct your employee to a participating medical clinic or to an emergency room depending on the severity of the injury. Sending your employees to participating medical clinics can reduce claims costs.

• Participate in CHSA Loss Control Services
- Have you and your employees watch the CHSA Safety Video
- Instruct your exercise riders to use the safety equipment properly (i.e. Do not pull the stuffing out of the vests!) and to pay attention to the posted exercise regulations at the track.

• Visit your injured employees to see how they are doing and show them you are concerned for their welfare. Studies show that employers who pay a friendly visit to their employees while they are recovering can reduce the amount of time lost from work by up to 50%.

• Report all claims regardless of whether you believe they are legitimate. Failure to report a claim immediately may result in the inability to decline acceptance of it in the future.
